Nvidia also gained about 2% after it secured export licenses to ship\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/NVDA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its<\/a> chips to the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.AXJO\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P\/ASX 200<\/a> fell 0.7% as investors awaited the Reserve Bank of Australia&#8217;s policy decision.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.N225\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nikkei 225<\/a> was 0.25% higher, and the Topix added 0.52%. South Korea&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.KS11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kospi<\/a> fell 1.29% while the small-cap Kosdaq climbed 0.24%.<\/p>\n<p>Kospi has gained in 12 of the past 15 sessions, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/10\/30\/south-korea-stocks-record-ai-corporate-governance-reforms-sk-hynix-samsung.html#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hitting multiple fresh highs this month<\/a> on the back global AI tailwinds as well as local structural changes that are steadily eroding the long-standing &#8220;Korea discount.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hang Seng index<\/a> edged 0.23% higher, while mainland&#8217;s CSI 300 was flat.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight in the U.S., the tech-heavy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.IXIC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nasdaq<\/a> advanced 0.46%, while the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.SPX\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P 500<\/a>\u00a0traded up 0.17%.
