PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A man has serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning in south Phoenix. <\/p>\n

Officers responded to the reported crash around 4:45 a.m. at 16th Street and Weir Avenue<\/a>, just south of Broadway Road. They found a man at the scene who had been struck by a vehicle. <\/p>\n

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. <\/p>\n

Police said the female driver involved stayed at the scene and spoke with officers. <\/p>\n

No information was immediately available on what led to this crash. An investigation is ongoing. <\/p>\n

Police closed 16th Street from Broadway to Weir Avenue as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
