\n\tPeople has named British actor Jonathan Bailey<\/a> as their \u201cSexiest Man of the Year.\u201d The news was revealed on The Tonight Show by host Jimmy Fallon<\/a>, who called out Bailey\u2019s work this year in both Wicked: For Good<\/a> and Jurassic World Rebirth.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s an honor of a lifetime,\u201d Bailey told Fallon. \u201cAnd I want to say, Jimmy, thank you so much for turning it down so that I could be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFallon asked Bailey if it was difficult to keep the news a secret, but Bailey said it was \u201csurprisingly not.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBecause not that many people are going, \u2018Are you\u2026?’\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re starting the Wicked<\/a> press tour and I went away with some friends just before, just to get a bit of pal time. And we went out and we had a few drinks, and I was like, \u2018Guys, guys.\u2019 I was like, \u2018I\u2019m the sexiest man alive.\u2019 And they were like, \u2018Yeah, yeah, do your affirmations.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFallon noted that Bailey is known as \u201cthe Internet\u2019s boyfriend.\u201d He told Bailey that fans are always trying to cast him in various roles, including as the next James Bond and the next Batman. \u201cOnly if you\u2019re by my side,\u201d Bailey replied. \u201cWill you be my Moneypenny?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor also mentioned Wicked: For Good<\/a>, which comes out later this month. \u201cIt\u2019s like these extraordinary people who are utilizing a lifetime of craft,\u201d Bailey said of the sequel. \u201cAnd I think it will be one of my greatest honors to support Jon M. Chu. He\u2019s an incredibly visionary director. \u2026 It\u2019s going to be emotional for everyone, but it\u2019s going to be a beautiful thing, I think.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tIn his People cover story<\/a>, Bailey shared his first celebrity crush (Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid) and said the last time he was moved to tears was watching Wicked: For Good. \u201cBut beyond watching my own work, in a good way I get moved to tears by family quite a lot,\u201d he said. \u201cLike my niece was pupil of the week, and I was just so proud of her. And she\u2019s the eldest of the next gen of Baileys. And that made me well up. In fact, all my sisters, when they send pictures of their kids\u2014I do find family does make me really emotional.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWicked: For Good is set to arrive in theaters Nov. 21. It stars Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. Bailey plays Prince Fiyero, while Michelle Yeoh is Madame Morrible and Jeff Goldblum is the Wizard.
