According to a release, it’ll open on December 4.

For the uninitiated, Primark is a massive European retailer famous for its low-cost, high-turnover approach to home goods, everyday essentials, and fashion — think women’s jeans for $12, men’s T-shirts for $5, and kids’ sweatshirts for $8.

Founded in Ireland in 1969 under the Penneys brand, Primark aims to provide affordable choices for everyone, from everyday essentials to stand-out style across women’s, men’s and kids, as well as beauty, homeware, and accessories. A spokesperson says they’re able to do this in large part due to their brick-and-mortar only retail model.

They embody the “fast fashion” mode, constantly updating its inventory with new, trend-driven collections that often clone high-end styles — not unlike the Forever 21 chain, which went bankrupt and closed all its stores in 2025.

The company’s U.S. growth has been steady since it first arrived in Boston in 2015. They currently have more than 450 stores in 17 countries globally, and debuted in Texas last year with stores in McAllen and El Paso.

The new Grapevine store is part of a holiday season push that also includes a location in the Houston area at Katy Mills outlet mall, opening on November 20 — marking Primark’s continued expansion into Texas.

“Primark’s incredible value and on-trend styles make it a perfect addition to our centers,” says Eric Sadi, co-president of Simon Property Group North America, which owns both malls.

The company says shoppers will find “affordable fashion without sacrifice,” but for many Texans, the real test will come when the doors open and they see just how far $50 can go.

An international clothing and home goods chain is coming to Dallas-Fort Worth.
