{"id":356444,"date":"2025-11-05T02:47:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T02:47:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/356444\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T02:47:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T02:47:12","slug":"california-election-results-for-redistricting-poway-recall-nbc-7-san-diego","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/356444\/","title":{"rendered":"California election results for redistricting, Poway recall \u2013 NBC 7 San Diego"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Local voters were asked to make two decisions at the ballot box that could change representation in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsandiego.com\/tag\/san-diego-county\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego County<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>NBC 7 San Diego will have the latest results below as soon as they are released by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters. <\/p>\n<p>California Prop 50 results<\/p>\n<p>All California voters were asked to decide whether to establish new congressional district maps for the 2026, 2028 and 2030 elections.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsandiego.com\/news\/local\/politically-speaking-prop-50-democratic-party-leader-will-rodriguez-kennedy\/3896785\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Proposition 50<\/a> was meant as a countermeasure to\u00a0redistricting in Republican strongholds. The redrawn maps could erase as many as five Republican districts in California.<\/p>\n<p>Poway District 2 recall results<\/p>\n<p>Voters in Poway City Council District 2 were asked to decide whether Councilmember Tony Blain, who is facing felony charges in San Diego County,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsandiego.com\/news\/local\/effort-to-recall-embattled-poway-city-councilman-moves-ahead\/3879863\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">should remain in office or be removed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The recall is decided by a simple majority, and 50% +1 of the vote would remove Blain from office. <\/p>\n<p>0% reporting \u25aa\ufe0f Source:\u00a0<strong>San Diego County Registrar of Voters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yes<\/strong>: 0%<\/p>\n<p><strong>No<\/strong>: 0%<\/p>\n<p>The San Diego County Registrar of Voters said the first set of election night results will drop shortly after 8 p.m., which will include mail ballots received before Election Day\u00a0and early voting from Vote Centers. <\/p>\n<p>The next round of results will include Election Day vote center ballots. Any mail in ballots will be tabulated in the days to come, the Registrar said. <\/p>\n<p>Results won&#8217;t become official until certified.
