Save it for September, when the\u00a0city&#8217;s first-ever <a href=\"https:\/\/www.good-omen-chicago.com\/tattooladyfest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Tattoo Lady Fest<\/a> makes its mark on Chicago. Hosted by Julia Campione, a local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/chicago\/shopping\/chicagos-best-tattoo-shops\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tattoo artist<\/a> who has been creating body art on Chicagoans for 11 years and running\u00a0the Good Omen Tattoo on Belmont Avenue\u00a0for seven, the new festival will feature the talents of\u00a018 women tattoo artists from around the globe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is an indelible opportunity\u2014literally and figuratively\u2014for each ink master to show the public what they can do. Attendees\u00a0can expect to encounter the likes of\u00a0Nicha Hernandez from Puerto Rico, Jessi Preston from Portland, Britt Kuechenmeister from Los Angeles, Courtney O\u2019Shea from Nashville, and many more at the event, which will be held on Friday, September 5 through Sunday, September 7 at Loft on Lake in the West Loop.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTattoo Lady Fest emerged from years of making connections with other women in tattooing,\u201d Campione told <a href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2025\/06\/27\/get-inked-for-a-good-cause-at-chicagos-first-ever-tattoo-lady-fest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Block Club Chicago<\/a>. \u201cI found power in the shared experience of navigating a male-dominated field.\u201d In truth, it was the presidential election that inspired Campione to take action and make her dreams a reality. \u201cI needed to transform the grief I was feeling into some sort of action,\u201d Campione said. \u201cAnd I basically said to myself, \u2018F\u2014 it, I\u2019m doing this!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECOMMENDED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/chicago\/things-to-do\/women-of-the-year-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eight women who are making Chicago a better place<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cChicago is where my tattoo journey began,\u201d Campione told the outlet. \u201cHosting Tattoo Lady Fest in the city where it all began feels like coming full circle.\u201d And to give back to that community, local nonprofits like Erie House, Sistas in the Village and Brave Space Alliance will benefit from 100-percent of proceeds from raffle sales. On the flip side, raffle winners will receive gift cards priced between $150 and $500 to Good Omen (to add to your arm candy, duh), as well as other surprise gifts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Open to all ages and free for kids under 12, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/tattoo-lady-fest-tickets-1123649870009?aff=oddtdtcreator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presale tickets<\/a> are available now for $20 for general admission, or spend $30 for VIP admission, which includes a drink wristband. Your ticket will get you tasty refreshments, music and special merch (Heather Munson, a stained-glass artist, will have her handmade creations\u00a0available at the festival), as well as live tattooing.\u00a0You must be 18, with a valid ID to get tattooed\u2014book appointments directly with the artist of your choice ahead of the festival to secure your spot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Got an itch to get inked?
