{"id":357196,"date":"2025-11-05T10:16:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T10:16:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/357196\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T10:16:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T10:16:13","slug":"switch-2-has-the-largest-third-party-software-lineup-ever-for-new-nintendo-hardware","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/357196\/","title":{"rendered":"Switch 2 Has The Largest Third-Party Software Lineup Ever For New Nintendo Hardware"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"Nintendo Switch 2\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/0a6d8fcf3fe9e\/nintendo-switch-2.large.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/nintendo-switch-2.900x.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"507\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Nintendo Switch 2\"\/><\/a> Image: Nintendo<\/p>\n<p>Nintendo&#8217;s systems haven&#8217;t always had the best third-party support, but the Switch 2 has got off to an incredibly strong start with developers and publishers you might not have even expected to see once upon a time now bringing major IP to this new hardware.<\/p>\n<p>The firm has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2024\/11\/nintendo-highlights-strong-third-party-relationships-ahead-of-switch-2-reveal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acknowledged this strong support<\/a> once again in its <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendo.co.jp\/ir\/pdf\/2025\/251105e.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest financial results briefing<\/a>, with Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa mentioning how the Switch 2 officially has the &#8220;largest third-party software lineup&#8221; ever for new Nintendo hardware.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Not only have we already seen multiple hit first-party titles, but we have also had many software publishers on board from the very beginning, resulting in the most extensive launch-year lineup out of any of our dedicated video game platforms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Although it&#8217;s early days in the system&#8217;s life, Furukawa further notes how software publishers have already released a &#8220;rich lineup of titles&#8221; catering to both &#8220;gamers and families&#8221;. Attached to his comments is a graphic, highlighting the many third-party games that have been released and announced for the Switch 2 so far. This also includes some indie hits.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"Nintendo Third-Party Support\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a793ee0941d6f\/nintendo-third-party-support.large.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/nintendo-third-party-support.original.png\" width=\"679\" height=\"384\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Nintendo Third-Party Support\"\/><\/a> Image: Nintendo<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, there are games such as CD Projekt Red&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/cyberpunk-2077-ultimate-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cyberpunk 2077<\/a> and some upcoming games Switch 2 players can look forward to next year include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/yakuza-kiwami-3-and-dark-ties\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yakuza 3 Kiwami 3 &amp; Dark Ties<\/a> from SEGA, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/resident-evil-requiem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Resident Evil Requiem<\/a> from Capcom, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/elden-ring-tarnished-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elden Ring<\/a> from Bandai Namco.<\/p>\n<p>As we&#8217;ve already highlighted, Nintendo&#8217;s first-party library for the Switch 2 has also got off to a strong start with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/mario-kart-world\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mario Kart World<\/a> shifting 9.57 million units, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/donkey-kong-bananza\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donkey Kong Bananza<\/a> has hit 3.49 million units. There&#8217;s also plenty of other upcoming first-party titles to look forward to for the remainder of 2025 including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/hyrule-warriors-age-of-imprisonment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment<\/a>, which is out this week, and then there&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/kirby-air-riders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kirby Air Riders<\/a> in November and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/metroid_prime_4_beyond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Metroid Prime 4: Beyond<\/a> in December.<\/p>\n<p>How are you finding Switch 2&#8217;s third-party support so far?
