Two Houston Investment Summits in Tokyo highlighted the region\u2019s strengths in energy transition, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing, and attracted\u00a0strong interest from Japanese\u00a0investors\u00a0and small and medium-sized\u00a0enterprises (SMEs). The delegation also toured Mitsui\u2019s Kashiwa-no-ha Smart City in Chiba,\u00a0another of Houston\u2019s sister cities,\u00a0underscoring shared priorities in sustainability, health innovation, and\u00a0next-generation\u00a0infrastructure. In addition,\u00a0the delegation met\u00a0with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries\u00a0(MHI)\u00a0leadership, including\u00a0President\u00a0& CEO\u00a0of MHI America\u00a0and Partnership board member,\u00a0Takajiro\u00a0Ishikawa,\u00a0which further\u00a0reinforced the strong industrial and innovation ties between Houston and Japan.<\/p>\n
