The closure ends the restaurant\u2019s Chicago presence, following the <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/2024\/1\/22\/24047165\/etta-river-north-david-pisor-closed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 shutdown<\/a> of its River North location and a <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/24064395\/etta-collective-aya-pastry-bankruptcy-closure-chicago-david-pisor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">high-profile, multistate bankruptcy filing<\/a>. Opened in 2018 by David Pisor and James Lasky, the team behind Gold Coast steakhouse <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/venue\/19741\/maple-ash\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maple &amp; Ash<\/a>, Etta offered Italian American cuisine built around a wood-burning oven under the direction of former executive chef Danny Grant. 1840 W. North Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">BRONZEVILLE \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turnerhausbrew.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Turner H\u00e4us<\/a> has put a pause on operations for the time being. The Black-owned brewery, which shares a space on 47th Street with coffee chain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sipandsavorchicago.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sip &amp; Savor<\/a>, opened its taproom in 2023. While the brewery will still host private events, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DQXKW9bieJ4\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram post<\/a> noted that the break is intended to \u201callow our family the time to reset, refocus, and continue building toward the long-term goals and vision for Turner H\u00e4us Brewery.\u201d 78 E. 47th Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">LAKEVIEW \u2014 After a <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/restaurant-news\/165207\/joe-flamm-bar-tutto-dear-margaret-sanders-bbq-van-leeuwen-denuccis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fire forced its closure<\/a> in early October, <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/venue\/74416\/dear-margaret\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dear Margaret<\/a> will not be reopening in its current space. The French Canadian restaurant suffered extensive water and smoke damage and had been closed while repairs were planned. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DQnESkwko12\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recent Instagram update<\/a>, the team shared that the building has been sold to a redeveloper but says that the restaurant will return in a new location. 2965 N. Lincoln Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">OLD TOWN \u2014 After 25 years in business, Mexican restaurant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobochi.davinci-group.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adobo Grill<\/a> has closed its doors. Known for its tableside guacamole, margaritas, and tequila dinners, the Old Town spot held its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPoe8YGji0N\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">last night of service<\/a> on Saturday, October 25. It was one of the neighborhood\u2019s longest-running Mexican restaurants. 215 W. North Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">ROSCOE VILLAGE \u2014 The Roscoe Village location of pan-Asian spot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotwokscoolsushi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hot Woks Cool Sushi<\/a> has closed. Known for stir-fry noodles, Chinese American classics, and maki rolls, the restaurant is under new management following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DQcHRLEDszl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retirement of its owners<\/a>. The Irving Park and Loop locations remain open, with the Irving Park delivery zone now extended to Damen Avenue to serve former Roscoe Village customers. 2032 W.
