On the Monday after the New York City Marathon<\/a> in 2023, my TikTok was flooded with marathon videos. I\u2019d never ran more than a few miles but found myself going down the rabbit hole of binge watching all the emotional videos of runners completing their 26.2 across the city. For some reason that day turned on a lightbulb that got me started on my running journey, signing up for a half marathon 4 and a half months out. Since then I have run two half-marathons and completed my first full marathon<\/a> this past year.<\/p>\n

This year I was on the ground witnessing my first New York City Marathon in person. It felt like the truest full circle moment, from watching the recaps of memories on my phone to now being a part of capturing some. From early miles in Brooklyn, to the pain caves and celebrations in the final stretch, here are a few of my favorite photos.<\/p>\n
