It\u2019s been a big week for Paige Bueckers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Three days after the Dallas Wings guard learned she had been named a starter for the 2025 WNBA All-Star game, the league announced Thursday that she was the WNBA\u2019s Rookie of the Month for June.<\/p>\n

It is the first Rookie of the Month honor for Bueckers, whom the Wings selected No. 1 overall in the 2025 WNBA draft<\/a>, and the first for a Wings newcomer since 2019.<\/p>\n

The UConn product averaged 21.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.9 blocks over seven games in June. She shot .475 from the field and .929 from the free-throw line.<\/p>\n

Bueckers\u2019 scoring average ranked third among all players and first among guards. The 23-year-old is first in scoring and assists averages among rookies and was the only player to average at least 20 points and five assists in June.<\/p>\n

She scored a career-high 35 points against the Phoenix Mercury on June 11, her return from a four-game absence due to concussion protocol and injury. That performance marked the second-highest point total by any player in June and the only 30-point outing by a rookie this year.<\/p>\n

The lone rookie named a 2025 WNBA All-Star Game starter<\/a>, Bueckers had the highest weighted score for all guards when combining the fan, media and player votes. <\/p>\n
