{"id":358486,"date":"2025-11-05T23:17:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T23:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/358486\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T23:17:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T23:17:14","slug":"doordash-dash-q3-2025-earnings-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/358486\/","title":{"rendered":"Doordash (DASH) Q3 2025 earnings report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A DoorDash bag on a bicycle in New York, US, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. <\/p>\n<p>Yuki Iwamura | Bloomberg | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/DASH\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DoorDash<\/a> reported third-quarter <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.doordash.com\/news\/news-details\/2025\/DoorDash-Releases-Third-Quarter-2025-Financial-Results\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">earnings<\/a> that missed analyst expectations and said it expects to spend &#8220;several hundred million dollars&#8221; on new initiatives and development in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The stock sank 9% following the report.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how the company did compared to LSEG estimates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Earnings:<\/strong> 55 cents per share vs 69 cents per share expected<\/li>\n<li><strong>Revenue:<\/strong> $3.45 billion vs $3.36 billion expected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;We wish there was a way to grow a baby into an adult without <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/10\/14\/jpmorgan-upgrades-doordash-says-shares-can-keep-outperforming-on-global-expansion.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">investment<\/a>, or to see the baby grow into an adult overnight, but we do not believe this is how life or business works,&#8221; the company wrote in its earnings release to explain the boosted spending.<\/p>\n<p>DoorDash said it is developing a new global tech platform that progressed in 2025 but is expected to accelerate in 2026, noting the direct and opportunity costs in the near term. The company announced its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/09\/30\/doordash-launches-delivery-robot-in-push-into-autonomous-technology.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dot<\/a> autonomous delivery robot in September.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/31\/doordash-ceo-tony-xu-is-new-industry-consolidator-in-food-delivery.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">food delivery<\/a> platform&#8217;s revenue increased 27% from a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>DoorDash posted net income of $244 million, or 55 cents per share, in Q3, up from $162 million, or 38 cents per share, a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>Total orders grew 21% over the prior year to 776 million during the quarter that closed Sept. 30, just above the 770.13 million expected by FactSet.<\/p>\n<p>The company expects Adjusted EBITDA for the fourth quarter in the range of $710 million to $810 million, a midpoint of $760 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $806.8 million for Q4.<\/p>\n<p>DoorDash closed its acquisition of British food delivery company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/06\/doordash-to-buy-uk-food-delivery-firm-deliveroo-in-3point9-billion-deal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deliveroo<\/a> on Oct. 2, a deal that valued the UK company at about $3.9 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The company expects a depreciation and amortization expense of $700 million for the fiscal year, exclusive of the acquisition.
