{"id":358558,"date":"2025-11-05T23:54:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T23:54:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/358558\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T23:54:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T23:54:12","slug":"enzo-maresca-has-signalled-the-end-of-chelsea-stars-time-with-selection-for-champions-league-clash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/358558\/","title":{"rendered":"Enzo Maresca has signalled the end of Chelsea star&#8217;s time with selection for Champions League clash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Rotation was expected from Chelsea and Enzo Maresca for their Champions League group stage clash, however one player\u2019s spot on the bench is bad news for his future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/enzo-maresca\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maresca<\/a> made seven changes to the side who started against Tottenham at the weekend, however was forced into an early substitution after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/romeo-lavia\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Romeo Lavia<\/a> went off injured.<\/p>\n<p>Moises Caicedo was brought into the side, which will be disappointing for the boss as he looked to rest a number of individuals for the upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves.<\/p>\n<p>One position he decided not to change was the goalkeeper role. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/robert-sanchez\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Robert Sanchez<\/a> retained his place in the side despite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/filip-jorgensen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Filip Jorgensen<\/a> being fit and on the bench.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/GettyImages-2245164159-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Qarabag FK v Chelsea FC -
