Jay \u201cJeezy\u201d Jenkins<\/a> has added one more accolade to his resume, entirely suitable for a crowd-pleasing artist who rocks a tuxedo. <\/p>\n

The rap star, 48, now holds the Guinness World Record for the largest orchestra for a hip-hop music concert<\/a>. He earned the title on Nov. 1, 2025, performing with 101 orchestra members during his Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. <\/p>\n

Jeezy was accompanied by Color of Noize Orchestra<\/a>, a music ensemble that played original arrangements of his songs, composed by Derrick Hodge. Music director for the orchestra is Adam Blackstone. <\/p>\n

Jeezy\u2019s residency, called \u201cTM:101 Live,\u201d celebrates the 20th anniversary of his 2005 breakthrough album, \u201cLet\u2019s Get It: Thug Motivation 101.\u201d Four dates <\/a>were set at Planet Hollywood\u2019s PH Live <\/a>venue, on Oct 31 and Nov. 1, and Dec. 19 and 21.<\/p>\n

Andy Glass, an official adjudicator for Guiness World Records, was on hand to present Jeezy with an official certificate, according to a news release. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t just a win for me \u2014 it\u2019s a moment for the culture, for music, and for Vegas,\u201d Jeezy said on stage. \u201cThank you to every musician, every fan, and everyone who believed we could take this all the way. A winner is a dreamer who never gave up!\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeezy, a North Carolina native formerly known as Young Jeezy, is a trap music pioneer with 13 studio albums to his credit, along with EPs and mixtapes. His hit singles include \u201cSoul Survivor\u201d featuring Akon, \u201cPut On\u201d featuring Kanye West, \u201cLeave You Alone\u201d featuring Ne-Yo, \u201cLose My Mind\u201d featuring Plies, \u201cSeen It All\u201d featuring Jay-Z and \u201cR.I.P.\u201d featuring 2 Chainz.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s a four-time Grammy nominee<\/a> and the winner of a 2010 BET Viewers Choice award for \u201cHard\u201d with Rihanna. Jeezy\u2019s latest record, 2023\u2019s \u201cI Might Forgive … But I Don\u2019t Forget,\u201d is a double album that peaked at No. 5 on Billboard\u2019s chart for the Top R&B\/Hip-Hop Albums. <\/p>\n

Along with his residency in Vegas, Jeezy has been touring this year<\/a> to celebrate the 20th anniversary of \u201cThug Motivation 101.\u201d His agenda included a July 18 date at the BJCC Concert Hall<\/a>, with a smaller version of the Color of Noize Orchestra. <\/p>\n
