Dallas Stars<\/a> goalie Jake Oettinger and wife Kennedi announced Wednesday night the birth of their first child, Rhodes Oettinger.<\/p>\n

The couple posted a short clip to Instagram of a newborn baby boy.<\/p>\n

Oettinger missed Tuesday\u2019s game<\/a> against the Oilers while tending to the birth of Rhodes, Dallas in the meantime scraping away a shootout win vs. Edmonton behind backup goalie Casey DeSmith.<\/a><\/p>\n

There\u2019s not yet word on if Oettinger will be available for the Stars\u2019 Thursday night matchup against the Ducks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Stars have points in their last seven games, including in Tuesday\u2019s shootout win over the Oilers.<\/p>\n
