Stefon Diggs, the NFL star and boyfriend of rapper Cardi B<\/a>, has learned that he is the father of an Instagram model’s baby girl after taking a paternity test.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old Diggs, who is expecting a child with Cardi B, had initially disputed fathering the child with\u00a0Aileen Lopera, known as Lord Gisselle on social media.<\/p>\n

The baby was born in April, with Lopera naimed her Charliee and giving her the NFL star’s last name.<\/p>\n

She initially filed a petition to determine if Diggs was her infant daughter’s father last December.<\/p>\n

‘Now that the child\u2019s paternity has been established and Mr. Diggs has acknowledged his daughter, my client hopes they can work together for the child\u2019s best interests,’ Lopera’s lawyer,\u00a0Tamar Arminak, told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Diggs said in September that if he is proven to be the father of Charliee, he wants joint legal and physical custody of her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The paternity suit came from model\u00a0Aileen Lopera, with Diggs unsure if he was the baby’s dad<\/p>\n

In what could be interpreted as a comment on the news of the test results, Lopera shared a quote to her Instagram story on Wednesday, saying: ‘You know what God? I thank you for everything.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Diggs, who plays for the New England Patriots, has an eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.<\/p>\n

He is in the first year of a three-year deal with the organization worth $69million.<\/p>\n

Cardi B, 32, announced she was pregnant with Diggs’ child during an interview with ‘CBS Mornings’ in September, with her due date coming before her next tour starts in February.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And in an interview with People earlier this week, Diggs revealed that the couple are expecting a baby boy.<\/p>\n

‘It\u2019s a boy. That\u2019s enough for me,’ he said. ‘I can\u2019t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around.\u00a0It’s supposed to happen real soon, so wish us both luck.’<\/p>\n

She filed for divorced from the rapper Offset last summer.\u00a0She hard-launched her relationship with Diggs in May at the Met Gala in New York City, and sat courtside at a Knicks game with him a few days later.<\/p>\n

Diggs scored a touchdown in the game as the Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons 24-23<\/p>\n

And on Sunday, the musician was sat in the stands alongside billionaire Patriots owner Robert Kraft to cheer Diggs on during the NFL game against Atlanta Falcons, which the Patriots narrowly won 24-23.<\/p>\n

Diggs scored a touchdown in the game and overall, recorded three receptions for 38 yards.<\/p>\n

The Patriots, a resurgent force this season at 7-2, meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.<\/p>\n
