Our WTA Finals participants are Iga Swiatek, Madison Keys, Amanda Anisimova, Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Jasmine Paolini, Coco Gauff, and Jessica Pegula. Can Coco Gauff defend her crown, or will Aryna Sabalenka get her revenge? With so many great names and matches, who will come out on top? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

WTA Finals
Pegula – Paolini: Time 15:00

H2H: 5-1

Jessica Pegula vs Jasmine Paolini is the first match of the day. While these two have played six previous matches, Paolini has won only one. Pegula had dominated this match until this year’s Billie Jean King Cup, when Paolini finally won. Oddly enough, none of their matches have ever gone to a third set. Pegula lost her last match to Aryna Sabalenka, but she did beat Coco Gauff in her opening match here. That had to soften the sting of losing to Gauff in the finals of WTA Wuhan right before this tournament. Paolini is on a three-match losing streak and hasn’t even won a set here in Riyadh.

Best Bet to Make

I think it makes all the sense in the world to take Pegula 2:0 at 1.85 on 10Bet. They’ve never played a three-set match in their six previous matches. For whatever reason, these two play quick and simple matches. Pegula is also 7-3 in her last ten, while Paolini has lost three in a row, and could lose her third match in a row in the WTA Finals, and her fourth overall. The only other bet that makes sense is taking under 2.5 sets, but you can’t even get that for above 1.47, so consider that.

That being said, Pegula winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/the best odds: Pegula winning 2:0 @1.585 @10Bet

Sabalenka – Gauff: Time 16:30

H2H: 5-6

Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff meet for the twelfth time overall. Gauff currently leads the series 6-5 and won their last match in the final of the French Open. Sabalenka won their other 2025 match, also in the finals at WTA Madrid. Sabalenka is 9-1 in her last ten matches, and her only loss came to Jessica Pegula in the semifinals at WTA Wuhan. As mentioned earlier, Gauff lost her first match to Jessica Pegula, as well, leaving her 8-2 in her last ten matches. While Gauff is the defending champion here, Sabalenka has never won this event.

Best Bet to Make

Sabalenka is the favorite here for a reason. She’s been a one-woman wrecking ball all year long. She’s only lost eleven matches all year long. Yes, the two of them have a strong rivalry, but Sabalenka has every reason to give this match her best effort. When they’re playing in the semifinals or later, Sabalenka is 3-3 with Gauff. Gauff also has their only prior Master’s Cup match back in 2024, which was a straight-set victory in the semifinals of the tournament on her way to winning it all. There’s a reason the books have Sabalenka as 1.75-1 favorite.

That being said, Sabalenka winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/the best odds: Sabalenka winning @1.53 @WilliamHill

Main Photo Credit: Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

The WTA Finals are here after a long year.
