HOUSTON \u2014 A fatal crash has closed multiple lanes of Highway 6 at US 59 in Sugar Land. One person is dead and officials are warning drivers to expect delays lasting several hours.<\/p>\n
Sugar Land Police responded to the crash around 3:43 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of Highway 6 near the northbound US 59 feeder.<\/p>\n
A motorcycle was on its side at the scene on the crash. Officials have not shared what led up to the crash or who was involved.<\/p>\n
As of 4:50 p.m., Highway 6 southbound was completely closed under US 59, while only one northbound lane remained open. All traffic on the northbound US 59 feeder approaching the intersection is being diverted to a single lane, with drivers allowed to turn only right onto southbound Highway 6.<\/p>\n
Authorities say it will take several hours to clear the scene. Police are urging drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible to avoid delays.<\/p>\n
