{"id":359901,"date":"2025-11-06T13:52:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T13:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/359901\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T13:52:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T13:52:11","slug":"alex-rodriguezs-daughters-ex-wife-vulnerable-about-family-life-in-hbo-doc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/359901\/","title":{"rendered":"Alex Rodriguez&#8217;s daughters, ex-wife vulnerable about family life in HBO doc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alex Rodriguez\u2019s two daughters, Natasha and Ella, got vulnerable about their respective relationships with the Yankees legend in the new HBO documentary miniseries,\u00a0\u201cAlex vs. ARod.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During episode 2 of the three-part event \u2014 which explores the dualities of Rodriguez on and off the field across 22 seasons \u2014 Natasha says she and her dad are \u201csocial butterflies,\u201d while Ella explains that life in the spotlight has been \u201cweird\u201d for her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI dont like calling myself \u2018A-Rod\u2019s daughter,&#8217;\u201d Ella, 17, says. \u201cI actually hate that. Growing up people have always been like, \u2018Your dad is A-Rod? ZUMAPRESS.com<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen I just hear that and I\u2019m like, \u2018Guys, he has a name \u2014 it\u2019s Alex. He\u2019s a real human.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know, it\u2019s always just been a little bit weird for me\u2026 I think I\u2019m very ambitious because of him. When he really sets his mind  there is no telling him otherwise. All three of us are like that. A lot of the discipline that I have is from him.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Natasha, who\u2019s enrolled at the University of Michigan, goes on to explain that she and her dad are \u201ccarbon copies\u201d of each other.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy dad and I are kind of like twin flames in work ethic, in passion, in drive [and] ambition,\u201d Natasha, 20, said. \u201cWe\u2019re social butterflies but our circles are very small. So we\u2019re kind of carbon copies of each other.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 Alex is the best, but your ego thrives off of your achievements and all the things you can list that you do, which is something that I do all the time\u2026 And A-Rod has a lot of those.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Part 2 of \u201cAlex vs. ARod\u201d also features commentary from the girls\u2019 mother and Rodriguez\u2019s ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, who didn\u2019t sugarcoat what life was like during his Yankees tenure.<\/p>\n<p>Yankees star Alex Rodriguez with wife Cynthia and daughter Natasha in a pre-game ceremony to honor A-Rod\u2019s 500th home run at Yankee Stadium in New York, August 13, 2007. And I\u2019m not going to pretend that it was wonderful. Derek French\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>The Fox Sports analyst and Cynthia \u2014 who married in 2002 and divorced in 2008 \u2014 are close friends and co-parents. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe wanted to have kids like right after we got married and I was the one that wasn\u2019t ready to have kids,\u201d Cynthia says. \u201cHe wasn\u2019t going to be able to contribute much with his schedule so I knew the majority of it was going to land on my shoulders. But he\u2019s very convincing.
