Netflix has unveiled the voice cast and released a first look teaser for Stranger Things: Tales from \u201985<\/a>, the animated series based on\u00a0the hit show Stranger Things<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans of the sci-fi series are celebrating Stranger Things Day, the day Will Byers went missing in Hawkins, Indiana (November 6, 1983). To commemorate the day, the streamer revealed who will voice the characters in their animated form for the series, which is set to debut in 2026.<\/p>\n

The cast of Stranger Things: Tales from \u201985 includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt<\/strong> as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport<\/strong> as Max, Luca Diaz<\/strong> as Mike, Ej (Elisha) Williams<\/strong> as Lucas, Braxton Quinney<\/strong> as Dustin, Ben Plessala<\/strong> as Will, and Brett Gipson<\/strong> as Hopper. Additional voice cast includes Odessa A\u2019zion<\/strong>, Janeane Garofalo<\/strong>, and Lou Diamond Phillips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer say in a featurette (watch below) that when they thought about expanding the universe, creating an animated series \u201cwas one of our first ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea was kind of to evoke a feeling of an \u201980s cartoon,\u201d Matt said, teasing the series.<\/p>\n

Ross noted that transforming the series into animation gave them \u201cno limits,\u201d allowing storytellers to \u201cgo wild.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taking place between\u00a0Seasons 2 and 3 of\u00a0Stranger Things,\u00a0Tales from \u201985\u00a0welcomes viewers back to Hawkins in the stark winter of 1985, where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery that is terrorizing their town.<\/p>\n

Eric Robles serves as showrunner and executive producer. Executive producers include Matt and Ross Duffer, along with Hilary Leavitt, via Upside Down Pictures; Shawn Levy via 21 Laps; and Dan Cohen.<\/p>\n
