One of Fort Worth\u2019s neighborhoods is uplifting its residents with the return of a beloved community event.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Phoenix Festival in the Historic Southside returns for its fourth year this Saturday to provide attendees with resources<\/strong><\/a> including health care screenings, fitness sessions and complimentary household items.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The festival is organized by Braver Together, a nonprofit working to improve health outcomes in the 76104 ZIP code, where life expectancy is among the lowest in Texas.<\/p>\n

The festival is inspired by a community on the rise, not through flames, but \u201cthrough a collective pursuit of prosperity,\u201d event organizers said<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Immerse in community festival aimed at providing resources<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Braver Together will provide local farm produce and artisans alongside college and career counseling services. The nonprofit focuses on revitalizing the 76104 ZIP code. <\/p>\n

Jam out to performances by established, up-and-coming songwriters<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Sing along to rising stars of country music<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Enjoy three days of free, nonstop live country music, performances and artist autographs. The festival leads up to the Texas Country Music Awards Show at Billy Bob\u2019s Texas on Nov. 9, which requires tickets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When:<\/strong> 1-6 p.m. Nov. 7; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 8; noon Nov. 9<\/p>\n

Watch undefeated champion defend title in the ring<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Undefeated WBC interim champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. fights to defend the super welterweight title from Erickson \u201cThe Hammer\u201d Lubin. WBC, also known as World Boxing Council, is one of four major sanctioning bodies in professional boxing.<\/p>\n

Families are invited to a day of fun focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Enjoy appearances by PBS Kids characters Nature Cat and Xavier Riddle as well as dance lessons from Texas Ballet Theater. <\/p>\n
