NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 want to see you at the Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade in Fort Worth on Tuesday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy the bands, floats and much more as they march down Commerce Street in downtown Fort Worth.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s parade theme is \u201cSaluting Vietnam Veterans.\u201d Fort Worth has been designated by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Veterans Day National Committee (VDNC) as a VA-recognized regional site for this year\u2019s celebration. Each year, the VDNC invites cities, towns, and non-profit organizations across the nation to play a special role in honoring America\u2019s heroes. The VDNC has recognized the Tarrant County Veterans Council (parade organizer) and the City of Fort Worth (event host) for its tribute to America\u2019s heroes.<\/p>\n
Veterans Day parade spectators can view the event at numerous locations along the parade route. The parade will form up in the Panther Island Pavilion parking lot at about 11 a.m. and head east on Belknap St. to the Tarrant County Courthouse. It will then go south on Commerce Street, across 5th\u00a0Street, up Houston Street and back down Belknap to the Panther Island Pavilion parking lot.<\/p>\n
The Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade is organized by the Tarrant County Veterans Council. Be a part of Fort Worth\u2019s annual Veteran\u2019s Day celebration that began more than 100 years ago in 1919, and honor Tarrant County\u2019s 176-year military legacy, from past, to present and future.<\/p>\n
