{"id":36063,"date":"2025-07-03T19:14:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T19:14:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/36063\/"},"modified":"2025-07-03T19:14:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T19:14:11","slug":"triangle-homes-sitting-on-the-market-longer-why-a-real-estate-agent-says-its-about-perspective-wral-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/36063\/","title":{"rendered":"Triangle homes sitting on the market longer, why a real estate agent says it\u2019s about perspective :: WRAL.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More homes are popping up for sale in the Triangle, and more<br \/>\nof them are sitting on the market longer, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/marketminute.longandfoster.com\/Market-Minute\/NC\/The-Triangle.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a<br \/>\nrecent market analysis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe days of<br \/>\njust putting a sign in the yard and selling it really quickly, those are behind<br \/>\nus,\u201d said real estate agent Jason Kogok. &#8220;Our sellers have to take the time to<br \/>\nimprove their properties, get it market ready.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The market<br \/>\nanalysis shows inventory is up 44%. Homes are staying on the market for about<br \/>\n45 days on average. That\u2019s 18% longer than a year ago. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kogok has<br \/>\nbeen selling homes in the Triangle area for more than 20 years. He calls the current<br \/>\nstate of the market \u201cnormal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just<br \/>\ndoesn&#8217;t feel normal because of what we just came out of,\u201d he said. \u201cDuring<br \/>\nCOVID, we had what I call artificially-low interest rates.\u00a0It made all<br \/>\nthese people who never thought about buying all of a sudden become buyers.
