{"id":360751,"date":"2025-11-06T22:19:17","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T22:19:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/360751\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T22:19:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T22:19:17","slug":"nick-kyrgios-ex-coach-says-who-is-the-better-player-between-amanda-anisimova-and-elena-rybakina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/360751\/","title":{"rendered":"Nick Kyrgios&#8217; ex-coach says who is the better player between Amanda Anisimova and Elena Rybakina"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   <a class=\"fw\" href=\"https:\/\/profile.google.com\/cp\/Cg0vZy8xMXlnMTNoeXE4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/google-discover.svg\" alt=\"\"\/> Follow us on Google Discover <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Amanda Anisimova and Elena Rybakina are two of the hottest players on the WTA circuit at the moment. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both players have booked spots in the semifinal of the WTA Finals, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/iga-swiatek-branded-a-sore-loser-and-heavily-criticized-for-what-shes-said-after-losing-to-amanda-anisimova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anisimova beating Iga Swiatek<\/a> from a set down to progress on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/amanda-anisimova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anisimova<\/a> is making her debut in the event, whilst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/elena-rybakina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rybakina<\/a> has a semifinal to look forward to in Riyadh for the very first time. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/amanda-anisimovas-latest-win-at-the-wta-finals-means-elena-rybakina-has-now-made-tennis-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anisimova\u2019s win yesterday helped Rybakina make history<\/a>, and it will be fascinating to see if the players get one final match this year in the final. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/what-jessica-pegula-has-done-in-2025-that-only-amanda-anisimova-can-match-after-her-win-over-coco-gauff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anisimova has done something this year that only Coco Gauff can match<\/a>, and she really is a player on an upward trajectory in 2025. <\/p>\n<p>With both players progressing at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta-finals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTA Finals<\/a>, talk has now turned among tennis experts as to which player is the better of the two. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/GettyImages-2245188691-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Amanda Anisimova hits a forehand against Iga Swiatek at the 2025 WTA Finals\" class=\"wp-image-141664\" \/>Photo by Clicks Images\/Getty ImagesNick Kyrgios\u2019 ex-coach picks better player out of Rybakina and Anisimova<\/p>\n<p>Simon Rea is a former coach of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/nick-kyrgios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyrgios<\/a> and he\u2019s recently sat down on the <a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/gb\/podcast\/can-felix-hold-off-musetti-for-a-spot-in-turin\/id1447078646?i=1000735513809\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australian Open<\/a> podcast to discuss the women\u2019s game. <\/p>\n<p>He was part of the panel on the latest episode of the podcast with Rea and current WTA player Daria Saville, discussing who they think is the best player right now. <\/p>\n<p>Saville said: \u201cOn the results, you would say Anisimova, but I feel like Rybakina\u2019s form has been pretty top-notch in the last few weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rea tended to agree and concurred with Saville, saying: \u201cI think it\u2019s a great point.
