On Saturday, No. 3 Texas A&M<\/a><\/strong> will invade Memorial Stadium for a showdown against No. 22 Missouri<\/a><\/strong>. On the College GameDay Podcast, ESPN\u2019s Pete Thamel and Rece Davis revealed their predictions for the pivotal SEC matchup.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to envision them mustering an upset,\u201d Thamel said<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cBut, look, at this point, who would\u2019ve thought Missouri\u2019s still got top-20 team and still a path, conceivably, to the postseason there. But, they\u2019d have to show something. I will say this: [Matt] Zollers<\/a><\/strong> looked pretty good when he went in and slung it around in the last game.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Missouri staff has had a week to, you know, to kind of get him ready a little bit, settle him in. So it\u2019ll be interesting to see, against Mike Elko<\/a><\/strong> and Jay Bateman<\/a><\/strong> and that defense, how the Tigers do. But, I\u2019m gonna go with A&M. I just think it\u2019s too much to ask.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Missouri\u2019s 17-10 loss to Vanderbilt<\/a><\/strong> in Week 9, Tigers starting quarterback Beau Pribula<\/a><\/strong> suffered a dislocated ankle. Pribula, who transferred to Missouri from Penn State<\/a><\/strong> ahead of the season, was having an excellent season.<\/p>\n

True freshman QB Matt Zollers replaced Pribula after he left the game with his injury. Zoller completed 14-of-his-23 pass attempts for 138 yards and a touchdown, without throwing an interception.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the Aggies\u2019 defense will put the inexperienced gunslinger to the test. Rece Davis isn\u2019t confident Zollers will be able to lead Missouri to victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cZollers looked really good. I think he\u2019s going to be really good for them, but it\u2019s a lot to ask,\u201d Davis said. \u201cA&M has won games in a variety of fashion. They won a slugfest against Auburn<\/a><\/strong>. They\u2019ve won a couple of high-scoring games against Arkansas<\/a><\/strong> and against Notre Dame<\/a><\/strong>. That\u2019s really the mark of a good team\u2014an elite team\u2014I should say.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey can beat you in a variety of ways. \u2026 Missouri is a good team. Even with the backup quarterback, Missouri can win. I just can\u2019t quite bring myself to pick against A&M the way they\u2019re playing right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Texas A&M\u2019s last outing, it dominated LSU in a 49-25 blowout. In the win, Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed<\/a><\/strong> shined, recording two passing touchdowns, while notching two scores with his legs as well.<\/p>\n

Sitting at 8-0, Texas A&M hasn\u2019t shown any signs of slowing down. On Saturday, Missouri will look to pull off the upset as it takes on the Aggies at 2:30 p.m. CT.
