Released in May, “Amelie” features a storyline uncannily similar to the most recent art theft at the Louvre.

Amelie is a curious cat who goes to Paris to explore and soak up the excitement of the city through strolls in the park, visits to cafes and eyeing the fashion scene.

One day while enjoying dessert in the dining room of her boutique hotel, she overhears a whispered conversation that throws her mind into turmoil. As she pieces the clues together, she realizes she has overheard a plot to steal one of France’s most treasured works of art from the Louvre.

Racing to the museum, she discovers she’s too late and immediately begins a pursuit that traverses the city of Paris.

To solve this crime, she will have to have a clear mind and use all her strength and courage. Will she bring the crooks to justice?

Shapiro is currently working on her third book, “Amelie Goes to the Caribbean.” Her second book was “Amelie Goes to Sweden.” Books may be found at Amazon.com.

Houston children’s book author and illustrator Dianna Heartsill Shapiro…

[5130
4345,175540,358,3187
0":"post-361633","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-houston","8":"tag-houston","9":"tag-houston-author-publishes-third-childrens-book","10":"tag-texas","11":"tag-tx
["GET
