Houston children\u2019s book author and illustrator Dianna Heartsill Shapiro published her most recent book, \u201cAmelie Goes to Paris,\u201d this summer. Released in May, \u201cAmelie\u201d features a storyline uncannily similar to the most recent art theft at the Louvre.<\/p>\n

Amelie is a curious cat who goes to Paris to explore and soak up the excitement of the city through strolls in the park, visits to cafes and eyeing the fashion scene.<\/p>\n

One day while enjoying dessert in the dining room of her boutique hotel, she overhears a whispered conversation that throws her mind into turmoil. As she pieces the clues together, she realizes she has overheard a plot to steal one of France\u2019s most treasured works of art from the Louvre.<\/p>\n

Racing to the museum, she discovers she\u2019s too late and immediately begins a pursuit that traverses the city of Paris.<\/p>\n

To solve this crime, she will have to have a clear mind and use all her strength and courage. Will she bring the crooks to justice?<\/p>\n
