A new business that popped up this week on Chicago’s lakefront offers a new way to heat up in the frigid winter. <\/p>\n
Oak Street Sauna opened this week at the city’s Oak Street Beach, located at 1000 North DuSable Lake Shore Drive, the company announced in a social media post that went viral. <\/p>\n
Situated alongside the lakefront path just south of Whispers, the shipping-container-turned-sauna business venture allows people to book private and social sweat sessions. <\/p>\n
“Social reservations,” or renting a seat in the sauna, cost $40 for an hour and 15 minute session.<\/p>\n
The entire sauna can be booked with a two-hour private reservation for $400. Private reservations allow for up to 12 people to use the sauna at a time.<\/p>\n
For early birds, Oak Street Sauna offers a discounted one hour 7 a.m. sweat session for $75.<\/p>\n
Outside the sauna, there is also a cold plunge pool available. <\/p>\n
