PHOENIX \u2014 Two people were taken to a hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, after being hit by a car in west Phoenix, according to officials with the city’s police department.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Officers were called to the crash, near 27th and Glendale avenues, just after 8 p.m. for reports of people hit by a car. Officers found a man and a woman with injuries at the scene, officials said. The man is expected to be OK but the woman had life-threatening injuries, officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Officers have contacted several individuals and made a traffic stop on a vehicle nearby to try and identify what vehicle was involved,” a statement from the Phoenix Police Department said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The intersection is blocked while officers continue to investigate.\u00a0<\/p>\n
