{"id":363856,"date":"2025-11-08T05:40:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T05:40:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/363856\/"},"modified":"2025-11-08T05:40:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-08T05:40:15","slug":"cbsa-says-3-people-removed-from-canada-who-were-connected-to-b-c-extortion-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/363856\/","title":{"rendered":"CBSA says 3 people \u2018removed from Canada\u2019 who were connected to B.C. extortion cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tDescrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tIncrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says it has removed three people from Canada who were connected to extortion investigations in B.C.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In addition, the agency says it has initiated investigations into 78 foreign nationals who may be inadmissible to Canada, meaning they may not be allowed to remain.<\/p>\n<p>This update comes after B.C. launched <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/11432934\/surrey-extortion-threats-bc-latest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an extortion task force in September<\/a>, which is led by the RCMP.<\/p>\n<p>The task force was created to address the rise in extortion threats and violence against businesses, particularly those in the South Asian community in the Lower Mainland.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/national.jpg\" alt=\"Get the day's top news, political, economic, and current affairs headlines, delivered to your inbox once a day.\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tGet daily National news<\/p>\n<p>Get the day&#8217;s top news, political, economic, and current affairs headlines, delivered to your inbox once a day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CBSA is an essential part of the B.C.
