A former Bastrop County ESD services chief, Dana Diamond, was among the crew members killed in the UPS cargo plane crash in Louisville. <\/p>\n

Bastrop County ESD One stated that Chief Diamond leaves behind a legacy of service and cherished memories with fellow firefighters and the community he served. <\/p>\n

The crash claimed the lives of three crew members and at least 10 people on the ground on Tuesday. The NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash.<\/p>\n

The McDonnell Douglas MD-11, which had spent over a month on the ground in San Antonio, marks the 10th crash of an MD-11 model since its introduction in 1990. <\/p>\n
