Tune, the 86-year-old 6-foot-6 tap dancing legend, is a performer, actor, choreographer and director who has won 10 Tony awards. He has also hosted many parties over the years from his Sutton Place perch. Once, he previously told Gimme, he threw a soiree for\u00a0Carol Channing, and more than \u201c200 Broadway friends showed up.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Artists will find plenty of creative energy to inspire from the penthouse, which is known as the Tower. It\u2019s also where Tune once told Gimme by email that he has painted more than 100 works of art. <\/p>\n
The penthouse opens to a dramatic great room with ceilings that soar more than 13 feet high. The apartment also boasts large picture windows \u2014 and that 1,800-square-foot wrap terrace with East River and city vistas.\u00a0The terrace also has an outdoor shower.<\/p>\n
Inside, there\u2019s also an open chef\u2019s kitchen and a loft-like bedroom with a windowed bath that includes an extra-large soaking tub with views of the Chrysler Building.<\/p>\n

I also love that 52nd St. is a dead-end street. You really get to know everyone on the block \u2014 even [actress] Uma Thurman.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tune also owns another one-bedroom penthouse with a wrap terrace in the Southgate complex at 414 E. 52nd St. It was asking $2.3 million, but taken off the market last year.<\/p>\n
