It had asked $2.2 million in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas-born star\u2019s swanky spread, at 400 E. 52nd St., is 900 square feet and comes with one bedroom and one bath.\u00a0He bought the residence in 2007 for around $1.3 million, according to reports.<\/p>\n<p>Tommy Tune. Tim Waltman\/Evan Joseph Studios<\/p>\n<p>Tune, the 86-year-old 6-foot-6 tap dancing legend, is a performer, actor, choreographer and director who has won 10 Tony awards. He has also hosted many parties over the years from his Sutton Place perch. Once, he previously told Gimme, he threw a soiree for\u00a0Carol Channing, and more than \u201c200 Broadway friends showed up.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Artists will find plenty of creative energy to inspire from the penthouse, which is known as the Tower. It\u2019s also where Tune once told Gimme by email that he has painted more than 100 works of art. <\/p>\n<p>The penthouse opens to a dramatic great room with ceilings that soar more than 13 feet high. The apartment also boasts large picture windows \u2014 and that 1,800-square-foot wrap terrace with East River and city vistas.\u00a0The terrace also has an outdoor shower.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, there\u2019s also an open chef\u2019s kitchen and a loft-like bedroom with a windowed bath that includes an extra-large soaking tub with views of the Chrysler Building.<\/p>\n<p>Tune hosted many parties over the years on the terrace. Tim Waltman\/Evan Joseph Studios<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are so many things I love about the Tower,\u201d Tune told Gimme in a previous email exchange. \u201cI love that you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the Tower, and I love that I can host a party on my terrace. I also love that 52nd St. is a dead-end street.
