Phoenix isn\u2019t done with the heat just yet. We could see one of the last 90-degree days of the year this weekend, and possibly experience a daily record high in the process.<\/p>\n
High pressure building over the West will send temperatures climbing into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees on Sunday, Nov. 9, and Monday, Nov. 10, according to the National Weather Service in Phoenix.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019ll be sunny with light winds all weekend, a little bit warm for the beginning of November,\u201d meteorologist Mark O\u2019Malley said. \u201cIt could flirt with a record high on Sunday \u2014 the current record is 88 degrees at Sky Harbor International Airport, and the forecast will be at or just above that level.\u201d<\/p>\n
The average last 90-degree day in Phoenix typically arrives around Oct. 30, but has stretched as late as Nov. 17, a record set in 2020.<\/p>\n
After this brief warm-up, forecasters expect temperatures to fall closer to normal for this time of year by midweek.<\/p>\n
Dry skies will continue throughout the weekend, with mild mornings and plenty of sunshine.<\/p>\n
