A man is in critical condition after police said he was struck by a vehicle in North Philadelphia overnight. <\/p>\n
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, around 12:34 a.m., officers responded to a crash on the 600 block of North Broad Street.<\/p>\n
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a 33-year-old man, who appeared to be under the influence, had been wandering the area before walking onto the street and lying down in the middle of Broad Street. That’s when a black Nissan Rogue, traveling northbound, struck the man. <\/p>\n
Investigators said the man was dressed in dark clothing and was not visible due to dark and rainy conditions.<\/p>\n
Police said the driver immediately stopped, contacted 911 and remained at the scene. They are fully cooperating with the investigation.<\/p>\n
Medics transported the man who was struck to the hospital, where he was treated for a head injury, multiple rib fractures, and internal bleeding, according to police. He remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n
