{"id":36542,"date":"2025-07-03T23:22:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T23:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/36542\/"},"modified":"2025-07-03T23:22:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T23:22:10","slug":"project-mend-expands-gear-up-for-mobility-collection-drive-in-san-antonio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/36542\/","title":{"rendered":"Project MEND expands \u2018Gear Up For Mobility\u2019 collection drive in San Antonio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 Project MEND recently completed a successful \u2018Gear Up For Mobility\u2019 collection drive in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/06\/04\/give-the-gift-of-movement-project-mend-hosts-annual-mobility-collection-drive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/06\/04\/give-the-gift-of-movement-project-mend-hosts-annual-mobility-collection-drive\/\">New Braunfels<\/a> and is excited to bring the effort to San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p>KSAT Community Phone Bank: \u2018Call to give the gift of mobility\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">On <b>Thursday, July 17<\/b>, KSAT Community will host a live televised phone bank from <b>9 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/b> <b>The goal is to raise $5,000<\/b> to purchase medical mobility equipment for those in need. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><b>Wheelchairs remain the most requested item<\/b>, but donations will also help provide walkers, rollators, knee scooters, hospital bed mattresses and wheelchair batteries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">What each donation pays for: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 kDvXdO font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>$25 &#8211; Repair a walker or wheelchair<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>$50 &#8211; Provide a walker for a senior in need<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>$75 &#8211; Provide a rollator for stability and confidence<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>$100 &#8211; Provide a veteran recovering from surgery with a knee scooter<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>$150 &#8211;
