SETTING THE SCENE
<\/strong>Stanford lightweight rowing opens its 2025-26 with its sole event of the fall calendar, racing at the San Diego Fall Classic on Sunday, Nov. 9. The first races of the day are scheduled for 7:45 a.m.<\/p>\n

A YEAR AGO\u00a0
<\/strong>The second year under the leadership of associate head coach Lizzy Houston<\/a>, Stanford finished sixth in the Commissioner\u2019s Cup standings at the IRA National Championships. Stanford\u2019s IRA Championship lineups featured 12 underclassmen, setting a strong foundation for the future of the Cardinal program.<\/p>\n

At the IRA Championships, the double sculls duo, which included returning sophomore Channing Brook<\/a>, posted Stanford\u2019s top finish of the regatta with a fourth-place time of 7:49.47. The varsity four, which contained returners Kate Metteauer<\/a>, Hannah Peters<\/a>, Helen Pruitt-Kennett<\/a>, Maddy Dodge<\/a> and Zadie Diniz<\/a>, followed with a seventh-place finish in 7:41.92, while the varsity eight clocked a 6:41.16 to take sixth, which held returners Marrisa Chow<\/a>, Campbell McClellan<\/a>, Grace Padula<\/a>, Lauren Koester<\/a>, Sophia Ramaraju<\/a> and Elle Rosenfeld<\/a>.<\/p>\n

WELCOME TO THE FARM
<\/strong>Stanford welcomed a talented class of seven freshmen to the program: Juliet Bohn<\/a>, Lily Carr<\/a>, Francesca Krywosa<\/a>, Mia Padovano<\/a>, Amelie Requejo<\/a>, Claire Steiner<\/a> and Maddie Wu<\/a>. Additionally, Maecy Rickman<\/a> joined the program<\/a> as assistant coach.<\/p>\n

YEAR THREE FOR HOUSTON
<\/strong>Lizzy Houston<\/a> enters her third season at the helm of the Cardinal lights, looking to build on last season’s success. Her tenure on the Farm has included a runner-up finish at the 2024 IRA National Championships, including a national title for the Varsity 4+, and a sixth place finish in 2025.<\/p>\n
