The Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>‘ G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, named their official roster for this season on Saturday.<\/p>\n

They’ve got a Hall of Famer’s son on the team, and no, it’s not Bronny James.<\/p>\n

It’s Augustas\u00a0Mar\u010diulionis.<\/p>\n

Mar\u010diulionis is the son of Sarunas, one of the greatest Lithuanian basketball players ever.<\/p>\n

Sarunas didn’t join the league until he was 25, and across seven seasons, he averaged 12.8 points and 2.2 assists per game for the Warriors<\/a>, Supersonics, Kings<\/a> and Nuggets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“His dad was really good,” Alabama coach Nate Oats said\u00a0during the NCAA Tournament<\/a>. “I loved watching his dad play. He could really shoot. He’s crafty. He’s skilled. He’s tough. I loved watching him play.”<\/p>\n

Augustas played four years at St. Mary’s, one of the top mid-major programs in the country.<\/p>\n

He averaged 14 points and 6 assists per game in his final season with the Gaels.<\/p>\n

He missed the pre-draft process with a foot injury, but signed with the Lakers after the draft and has stuck around through the summer and training camp.<\/p>\n

Now, his first professional action will come in the G League.<\/p>\n

His pops made quite the basketball career for himself. Now it’s Augustas’ turn.<\/p>\n
