President Donald Trump<\/strong> and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/strong> doubled down on their controversial claims about Tylenol during an Oval Office press conference Thursday.<\/p>\n

Kennedy was commenting on the Trump administration\u2019s announcement that Americans would be getting affordable pricing on GLP-1 weight loss drugs<\/a> like Ozempic and Wegovy when Trump brought up Tylenol.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou haven\u2019t changed your view on Tylenol for women who are pregnant?\u201d Trump asked. \u201cBecause there are false reports out about Tylenol, Bobby changing his view. I don\u2019t think he\u2019s changing his view.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo,\u201d Kennedy proclaimed. \u201cI\u2019m not going to change until the science changes, and the science does not look like it\u2019s changing. It\u2019s getting stronger and stronger every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kennedy continued: \u201cWhat we recommend is that mothers, pregnant mothers, talk to their physicians. The mothers of small kids talk to their physicians, and we\u2019ve advised the physicians to reduce the thresholds and to reduce the amount of Tylenol that they give to children as much as possible, and only use it when it\u2019s absolutely critical.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Kennedy clarified his stance on Tylenol, Dr. Mehmet Oz<\/strong> reinforced Kennedy\u2019s \u201cMake America Healthy Again<\/a>\u201d approach to combatting obesity through exercise and nutrition.<\/p>\n

\u201cMAHA is critical,\u201d Oz said. \u201cAmerica will have to get fit in order to right-side the healthcare system, and MAHA has the answers. It has obesity management through diet and exercise and sleep and dealing with issues related to that. And I want to say it as clear as I can: Obesity is not an absence of GLP-1 drugs. We\u2019re all clear on that. But as Secretary Kennedy said, it is an arrow in our quiver that we must use and should use. The MAHA movement means making it easier for the right things to happen, easier for you to be healthy. If you\u2019re sitting at home and watching, that\u2019s what MAHA means to me. Reducing costs of the most expensive medicine category in our country is as MAHA as it gets.\u201d<\/p>\n
