The rest of the Lakers  sat silently or loitered in a semicircle waiting for their coaches to join.<\/p>\n<p>There wasn\u2019t much that could be said.<\/p>\n<p>The Lakers\u2019 five-game winning streak ended in a blowout as the Hawks dominated <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/statsdmz.nba.com\/pdfs\/20251108\/20251108_LALATL_book.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">122-102<\/a> on Saturday at State Farm Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Playing a third consecutive game without <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/lakers\/story\/2025-10-26\/lakers-star-luka-doncic-sidelined-by-finger-injury-kings-recap\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Austin Reaves<\/a>, <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/lakers\/story\/2025-11-06\/los-angeles-lakers-san-antonio-spurs-nba-game-analysis\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Luka Doncic<\/a> tried to keep  the Lakers (7-3) in it  with 22 points, 11 assists and five rebounds, but all his points came in the first half and he came out  after only 27 minutes as  the Hawks built a 25-point lead by the middle of the third quarter. Forward <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/lakers\/story\/2025-10-01\/jake-laravia-at-23-fits-right-into-lakers-future-plans\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jake LaRavia<\/a> had 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Jarred Vanderbilt had 18 rebounds, one shy of his career high.<\/p>\n<p>The Hawks (5-5) were playing the second game of a home back-to-back after losing to the Toronto Raptors on Friday. They had four of five starters  sidelined, including  Trae Young (knee), Kristaps Porzingis (rest) and Nickeil Alexander-Walker (back).<\/p>\n<p>They still built a quick 13-point lead in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The Lakers should know the dangers of a desperate, but short-handed team. Only five days ago, they ended Portland\u2019s three-game winning streak without Reaves, Doncic or <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/lakers\/story\/2024-12-30\/lakers-lebron-james-turns-40-longevity-twilight-of-his-career\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LeBron James<\/a>. They fell asleep on defense, letting Hawks players cut straight to the basket.<\/p>\n<p>Atlanta\u2019s Mouhamed Gueye torched them for 19 points on seven-for-nine shooting from the field and four successful three-pointers.
