No shortcuts, no giving up \u2014 just more studying and even more determination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 45-year-old Kardashian said she came \u201cso close\u201d this time and called the result \u201cfuel\u201d for her next try. \u201cI was so close to passing the exam and that only motivated me even more. Let\u2019s go!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kardashian had sounded hopeful about her prospects of passing the mandatory legal exam during an October appearance on Britain\u2019s \u201cThe Graham Norton Show.\u201d While promoting Ryan Murphy\u2019s series \u201cAll\u2019s Fair,\u201d in which she stars as a divorce attorney, she said she was confident she would soon be a \u201cqualified lawyer.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Kardashian is attempting to follow in <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/gossip\/la-et-mg-et-mg-robert-kardashian-facts-people-v-oj-simpson-20160404-htmlstory.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the footsteps of her father, Robert Kardashian<\/a>. The late attorney, who shares Kim, Khlo\u00e9, Kourtney and Rob Jr. with Kris Jenner, famously was part of the \u201cDream Team\u201d that represented O.J. Simpson during his murder trial in 1995. Simpson was accused of killing ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman on June 12, 1994. He was acquitted. <\/p>\n<p>In an <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/la-et-mg-kim-kardashian-west-lawyer-20190410-story.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">April 2019 Vogue interview<\/a>, the \u201cKeeping Up With the Kardashians\u201d star and mother of four publicized her summer 2018 decision to study the law after championing the case of former prisoner Alice Marie Johnson, who had been imprisoned for life plus 25 years for a nonviolent drug offense. President Trump <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/politics\/la-na-pol-trump-kardashian-clemency-20180606-story.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">commuted Johnson\u2019s sentence in 2018<\/a> at  the urging of Kardashian and others and <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/election-2020-politics-tn-state-wire-4672b3b09a3f127b11af92e0681dd6df\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">pardoned the great-grandmother two years later<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Over the years, Kardashian has been working with attorneys Van Jones and Jessica Jackson, who sponsored her studies. Instead of attending law school, Kardashian planned to pursue a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco and then take the bar in 2022. <\/p>\n<p>After COVID pandemic-induced delays, Kardashian <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/story\/2021-12-13\/kim-kardashian-west-passes-baby-bar-exam-law-school\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">passed the \u201cbaby bar\u201d exam<\/a> in December 2021 after several attempts. In May, she <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2025-05-22\/kim-kardashian-graduates-law-school-program-bar-exam\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">passed<\/a> the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam, required before a person attempts to pass a bar exam in the United States. <\/p>\n<p>Days before sharing her bar exam results, Kardashian said she used artificial intelligence to bolster her law studies. \u201cDo you consider  ChatGPT to be a friend?,\u201d \u201cAll\u2019s Fair\u201d co-star Teyana Taylor asked the reality star during their <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-IU2z7awLSk&amp;t=912s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Vanity Fair<\/a> lie detector appearance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI use it for legal advice. So when I am needing to know the answer to a question, I\u2019ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there,\u201d Kardashian replied. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo you\u2019re cheating?\u201d Taylor responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re always wrong. It has made me fail tests.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>While Kardashian\u2019s professional law career has yet to take off in real life, she is currently portraying a <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2025-10-08\/alls-fair-sarah-paulson-kim-kardashian-lawyers-trailer-release-date\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">power player of an attorney on the small screen<\/a>.
