Try safe and courteous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eight people submitted the winning message: \u201cCamp in the woods, not the left lane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those eight people were as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Nate Jabjiniak, Phoenix<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Anthony Pagliuca, Scottsdale<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Miguel Sevilla, Goodyear<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Holly Anne Taylor, Surprise<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Melanie Farren, Phoenix<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Alexa Cerra, Tempe<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Sean Allard, Peoria<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Fatimah E., Phoenix<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited that thousands of Arizonans participated in our Safety Message Contest this year, writing and voting for engaging messages that focus on safe driving habits,\u201d\u00a0ADOT\u00a0Director Jennifer Toth said. \u201cWe hope these messages and conversations influence drivers to make better decisions behind the wheel so driving is safer for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More than 3,700 submissions were sent to ADOT before they were <a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/safety-message-contest-2025-adot\/5764032\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">narrowed down<\/a> and winners were chosen by a public vote.<\/p>\n<p>All nine winners were invited to the ADOT Traffic Operations Center to put their messages into the sign system.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on how to prevent crashes, ADOT provides <a href=\"https:\/\/azdot.gov\/about\/transportation-safety\/theres-no-such-thing-accidents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a resource<\/a> to remind people how to drive safer.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tomkuebelaz\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @tomkuebelaz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
