vs Liverpool

Arteta has firmly insisted that he will be watching Man City versus Liverpool following Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

It’s a huge game in the Premier League title race, with one of the Gunners’ key rivals guaranteed to drop during gameweek 11.

Arsenal are currently title favourites, given their seven-point lead and will be intrigued to see which team or both falter at the Etihad.

When asked about the match between Pep Guardiola and Arne Slot’s teams, Arteta told BeIN Sports: “I will be watching it for sure!”

The Spanish manager then remained coy over what result he is hoping for between the two teams, adding: “That’s (the result) not really in my control…’

Arsenal Insider believes a draw between Man City and Liverpool would be best, as it would leave them six clear of Guardiola’s side and seven ahead of the Reds.

Arsenal’s draw at Sunderland was the mark of champions

Ultimately, to let slip their 2-1 lead so late on, a draw will feel a disappointment for the Gunners, but instead, they should feel buoyed by the result.

Sunderland are flying this season and will be a tough opponent for any team in the division, especially under the lights at the Stadium of Light.

City and Liverpool will both travel to Wearside and will do very well to come away with a similar result.

In the first half, Regis Le Bris’ team and Daniel Ballard proved exactly why they are in the top four, as they came flying out of the traps.

Arsenal had to show real resilience to keep up with them, and Arteta’s team demonstrated their quality in the second half with an excellent attacking display.

All eyes at Arsenal will be on Manchester City
