\n\tUniversal\/Amblin Entertainment\u2019s Jurassic World Rebirth<\/a> delivered a strong overseas start on Wednesday with $26M<\/strong> from 38 international box office<\/a> markets, including some previews. Combined with domestic\u2019s $30.5M Wednesday<\/a>, the global running total is $56.5M<\/strong> through Day 1.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn total, JWR will be out in 82 offshore markets this weekend, with Japan joining in August.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tInternational rollout began on Tuesday in Hong Kong<\/strong> to capitalize on the Special Administrative Region Establishment Day holiday, coming in with $600K \u2014 the single biggest day for a studio title since\u00a0Deadpool & Wolverine\u2018s first Saturday and\u00a0the biggest MPA opening of the year to date.\u00a0The Scarlett Johansson<\/a> starrer ranked as a clear\u00a0No. 1\u00a0for the day, with a 44% market share.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Wednesday, China<\/strong> delivered the biggest launch day for a studio movie in the market this year at $9.9M. Opening on 65,000 screens in the market, including 760 Imax, the Gareth Edwards-directed adventure took a massive 64% share at No. 1. This is also the biggest studio opening day since\u00a0Godzilla x Kong\u2019s\u00a0Friday debut in March 2024 and the second-biggest MPA single-day gross of 2025,\u00a0only behind\u00a0Mission: Impossible \u2013 The Final Reckoning\u2018s first Sunday, which fell during the Dragon Boat Festival national holidays at release.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thursday, China added a further\u00a0$5.6M (not included in the offshore\/global totals above), reaching $15.5M so far and continuing to dominate in a competitive market with a 50% market share at No. 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Jurassic movies have been popular in China, with the recent titles grossing nearly $650M combined (unadjusted). The Rebirth team including Edwards, Johansson, Rupert Friend and Jonathan Bailey visited Shanghai for a premiere last Sunday \u2014 a promotional move that\u2019s become far less frequent since the pandemic. Jurassic also has a dedicated section at the Universal Beijing Resort.<\/p>\n

\n\tMeanwhile, Korea<\/strong> also opened yesterday, scoring the biggest Wednesday debut of the year at $1M and the second-biggest non-holiday opening day of 2025 after Bong Joon-ho\u2019s\u00a0Mickey 17. The market grossed another $700K today (early estimate, not included in overall international and global totals above) and still a clear No. 1 with $1.7M through today.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther Wednesday debuts include the UK & Ireland<\/strong> with $2.7M, accounting for 56% of the market at No. 1. The performance is just off\u00a0Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom\u2018s opening Wednesday, above\u00a0Guardians of the Galaxy 3\u00a0and above\u00a0Spider-Man: Homecoming. Relative to other 2025 tentpoles, this is more than double\u00a0Mission: Impossible \u2013 Final Reckoning\u00a0and 72% above\u00a0F1.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMexico<\/strong>\u00a0debuted to $2.1M in wide Wednesday previews, taking a 67% market share for the day. Comparing to like-for-like wide Wednesday previews, this is above\u00a0Black Panther: Wakanda Forever\u00a0and aligned with\u00a0Thor: Love and Thunder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSpain<\/strong>\u00a0grossed $1.6M on Wednesday at a clear No. 1 with a 41% share. The launch is the second-best opening day for any installment of the\u00a0Jurassic World\u00a0saga: above\u00a0Fallen Kingdom and\u00a0Dominion\u00a0and just below\u00a0Jurassic World, which opened on a standard Friday.\u00a0This result also was the highest-grossing Wednesday of the year and the third-highest-grossing day of 2025 (only behind\u00a0Lilo & Stitch\u00a0and\u00a0A Minecraft Movie).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tGermany<\/strong>\u00a0grossed $1.1M on Wednesday, taking a 52% market share at\u00a0No.1, on what was the hottest day of the year so far. This is the biggest opening day of 2025, ahead of Lilo and Minecraft.<\/p>\n

\n\tItaly<\/strong>\u00a0also is off to a $1.1M start from Wednesday previews at a huge 60% market share for the day. Compared to standard Thursday openings for\u00a0Jurassic\u00a0titles, this is above\u00a0Fallen Kingdom\u00a0and in-line with\u00a0Jurassic World.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThailand<\/strong>, the production home for the film, opened on Wednesday to $700K, dominating close to 75% market share in the key cities at\u00a0No. 1 and delivering the biggest non-holiday opening day of the year in the market.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tTaiwan<\/strong>\u00a0grossed $600K on Wednesday, marking\u00a0the biggest opening day of 2025, and accounting for 50% of the market at\u00a0No. 1.<\/p>\n

\n\tIndonesia<\/strong>\u00a0opened on Wednesday at\u00a0No. 1\u00a0to $600K,\u00a0best of the year so far in the market and the second-biggest opening day of the Jurassic franchise, coming in above\u00a0Dominion and\u00a0Jurassic World and just below\u00a0Fallen Kingdom.\u00a0This also is Universal\u2019s second-biggest opening of the past five years, only behind\u00a0Fast X.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for other early Thursday results not included in the international and global totals above,\u00a0Australia<\/strong>\u00a0grossed $1.2M on opening day with JWR ranking as a clear\u00a0No. 1\u00a0with a 54% share of the Top 10.\u00a0This is the biggest opening day of 2025, surpassing\u00a0Minecraft.<\/p>\n

\n\tMalaysia<\/strong>\u00a0entered the fray with $400K, the biggest non-holiday opening day for an MPA title this year, more than double\u00a0Lilo & Stitch\u00a0and 48% above\u00a0Minecraft.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther major Thursday openers include Brazil and Netherlands, while France\u00a0and\u00a0India\u00a0join on Friday.<\/p>\n
