Combined with <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/box-office-jurassic-world-rebirth-opening-day-1236448315\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">domestic\u2019s $30.5M Wednesday<\/a>, the global running total is <strong>$56.5M<\/strong> through Day 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn total, JWR will be out in 82 offshore markets this weekend, with Japan joining in August.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tInternational rollout began on Tuesday in <strong>Hong Kong<\/strong> to capitalize on the Special Administrative Region Establishment Day holiday, coming in with $600K \u2014 the single biggest day for a studio title since\u00a0Deadpool &amp; Wolverine\u2018s first Saturday and\u00a0the biggest MPA opening of the year to date.\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/scarlett-johansson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_scarlett-johansson\" data-tag=\"scarlett-johansson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scarlett Johansson<\/a> starrer ranked as a clear\u00a0No. 1\u00a0for the day, with a 44% market share.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn Wednesday, <strong>China<\/strong> delivered the biggest launch day for a studio movie in the market this year at $9.9M. Opening on 65,000 screens in the market, including 760 Imax, the Gareth Edwards-directed adventure took a massive 64% share at No. 1. This is also the biggest studio opening day since\u00a0Godzilla x Kong\u2019s\u00a0Friday debut in March 2024 and the second-biggest MPA single-day gross of 2025,\u00a0only behind\u00a0Mission: Impossible \u2013 The Final Reckoning\u2018s first Sunday, which fell during the Dragon Boat Festival national holidays at release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/gallery\/highest-grossing-movies-all-time\/\" data-type=\"pmc-gallery\" data-id=\"1235520083\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Movies That Have Made More Than $1 Billion At The Global Box Office<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn Thursday, China added a further\u00a0$5.6M (not included in the offshore\/global totals above), reaching $15.5M so far and continuing to dominate in a competitive market with a 50% market share at No. 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Jurassic movies have been popular in China, with the recent titles grossing nearly $650M combined (unadjusted). The Rebirth team including Edwards, Johansson, Rupert Friend and Jonathan Bailey visited Shanghai for a premiere last Sunday \u2014 a promotional move that\u2019s become far less frequent since the pandemic. Jurassic also has a dedicated section at the Universal Beijing Resort.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMeanwhile, <strong>Korea<\/strong> also opened yesterday, scoring the biggest Wednesday debut of the year at $1M and the second-biggest non-holiday opening day of 2025 after Bong Joon-ho\u2019s\u00a0Mickey 17. Relative to other 2025 tentpoles, this is more than double\u00a0Mission: Impossible \u2013 Final Reckoning\u00a0and 72% above\u00a0F1.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>Mexico<\/strong>\u00a0debuted to $2.1M in wide Wednesday previews, taking a 67% market share for the day. Comparing to like-for-like wide Wednesday previews, this is above\u00a0Black Panther: Wakanda Forever\u00a0and aligned with\u00a0Thor: Love and Thunder.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>Spain<\/strong>\u00a0grossed $1.6M on Wednesday at a clear No. 1 with a 41% share. The launch is the second-best opening day for any installment of the\u00a0Jurassic World\u00a0saga: above\u00a0Fallen Kingdom and\u00a0Dominion\u00a0and just below\u00a0Jurassic World, which opened on a standard Friday.\u00a0This result also was the highest-grossing Wednesday of the year and the third-highest-grossing day of 2025 (only behind\u00a0Lilo &amp; Stitch\u00a0and\u00a0A Minecraft Movie).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>Germany<\/strong>\u00a0grossed $1.1M on Wednesday, taking a 52% market share at\u00a0No.1, on what was the hottest day of the year so far. This is the biggest opening day of 2025, ahead of Lilo and Minecraft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>Italy<\/strong>\u00a0also is off to a $1.1M start from Wednesday previews at a huge 60% market share for the day.
