OAKLEAF \u2013 The Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office charged a\u00a0fifth grader\u00a0at Oakleaf Village\u00a0Elementary\u00a0carrying a pocketknife with a three-inch blade in her backpack on Thursday, Nov.\u00a06.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to a release from the agency, officials from the school\u00a0assisted\u00a0with the investigation, which included interviews with the girl, her\u00a0parents\u00a0and other students.\u00a0CCSO determined there was no lawful reason for her to have the knife on school property, and she was arrested and taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice \u2013 Duval Detention Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n
