Free and discounted dinners abound in Dallas-Fort Worth on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2025<\/a>, for active-duty military members and veterans. Some restaurants in North Texas extend deals to family members.<\/p>\n

Veterans Day is \u201ca highlight of our year,\u201d said Lance Trenary, CEO of Golden Corral, in a statement. It\u2019s one of many restaurants that have offered special deals to military members for decades.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis tradition has given team members and our guests the chance to connect with those who have served, hear their stories and come together in gratitude and respect,\u201d he said. \u201cWatching people from every background unite in support of our military heroes is profoundly moving and serves as a powerful reminder of why this tradition matters so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

The government shutdown in 2025 has led to fewer resources for veterans in the Dallas-Fort Worth community. For the first time in more than 20 years, the Veterans Day program at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery was canceled<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Military members still have other Veterans Day events to consider<\/a> in North Texas, alongside a growing list of restaurants offering lunch and dinner discounts or deals.<\/p>\n

Most restaurants require proof of military service or other identification in order to receive offers. Restaurants listed in alphabetical order.<\/p>\n

Andy\u2019s Frozen Custard <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with dessert: Andy\u2019s Frozen custard is honoring military members with one regular-sized, one-topping sundae for free on Nov. 11.<\/p>\n

Blue Mesa Grill in Addison, Fort Worth and Plano<\/p>\n

Veterans and active duty military will pay $5 on Nov. 11 for margaritas.<\/p>\n

BJ\u2019s Restaurant and Brewhouse \"BJ's<\/p>\n

Ever had a Pizookie? (Or seen the TV commercials for them?) BJ\u2019s Brewhouse is giving away the dessert \u2014 which is a chocolate chunk cookie with ice cream \u2014 to military members. On Veterans Day, BJ\u2019s will offer dine-in military members a deal for a free appetizer next time they stop in. The coupon is valid Nov. 12 through Dec. 31, 2025. <\/p>\n

Bombshells Restaurant & Bar in Dallas and Arlington<\/p>\n

Military members on Veterans Day will receive a 20% discount on all menu items at Bombshells. Alcohol not included. <\/p>\n

In November, the company will donate $1 from every order of fried pickle \u201cBayonets\u201d appetizers to the PTSD Foundation of America<\/a>. Bombshells\u2019 fundraiser supports Camp Hope, a housing facility for veterans in Houston.<\/p>\n

Cantina Laredo in Addison and Frisco<\/p>\n

Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal, up to a $30 value, at two Cantina Laredos in Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Cantina Laredos are at 4546 Belt Line Road, Addison; and 1125 Legacy Drive, Frisco.<\/p>\n

El Chico in Pantego, Richland Hills and Rockwall<\/p>\n

Veterans and active-duty military are treated to a free meal, up to a $25 value, at three El Chicos in Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

El Chicos are at 1549 S. Bowen Road, Pantego; 7621 Baker Blvd., Richland Hills; and 503 Interstate 30, Rockwall.<\/p>\n

Chili\u2019s <\/p>\n

Veterans get to choose a free meal<\/a> on Nov. 11 at all participating Chili\u2019s locations. <\/p>\n

Flying J and Pilot gas stations<\/p>\n

Military members get a free breakfast sandwich and coffee, or a lunch item and fountain drink, on Nov. 11. From Nov. 8 through Dec. 1, customers to the travel centers can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, or donate $1, $3, or $5, to the Call of Duty Endowment. <\/p>\n

IHOP in Dallas and Fort Worth<\/p>\n

In-N-Out Burger<\/p>\n

During lunch, dinner and late-night on Nov. 11, In-N-Out Burger will give military members a free meal: burger, fries and drink. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., according to @thefreebieguy<\/a> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Piada Italian Street Food <\/p>\n

Raising Cane\u2019s<\/p>\n

It\u2019s 10% off at Raising Cane\u2019s on Veterans Day. Eligible guests include active or nonactive military, fire, police and EMTs \u2014 as well as their families. Not valid for online orders or catering.<\/p>\n

Sevy\u2019s in Dallas<\/p>\n

Any veteran visiting Sevy\u2019s for lunch or dinner on Veterans Day will receive a free appetizer or dessert. \u201cWe salute all the U.S. veterans (past, present and future) and thank them for their service and sacrifice to keep us safe and free,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

Starbucks\"On<\/p>\n

On Nov. 11, 2025, veterans, military service members and their spouses in Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond get a free 12-ounce brewed coffee, hot or iced, at Starbucks. <\/p>\n

Veterans, military service members and their spouses will receive a free 12-ounce (\u201ctall\u201d) coffee, hot or iced, on Nov. 11. Limit one per customer, per visit. The company is also donating $200,000 to the USO and the Wounded Warrior Project this year, it announced.<\/p>\n

Family-friendly chain restaurant Thirsty Lion is offering a free entree to military members. The restaurant has a dedicated Veterans Day menu, with options of a cheeseburger, spicy fried chicken sandwich, French dip, fish and chips, Tuscan chicken or a pork carnitas salad bowl.<\/p>\n

Tupps Brewery in McKinney<\/p>\n

Make plans for a pre-Veterans Day celebration at Tupps Brewery in McKinney on Friday, Nov. 7. The first 100 veterans at the event receive a free barbecue plate from the whole hog pig roast. All evening, from 5-10 p.m., Tupps will host beer tastings, a live and silent auction, live music, a kids\u2019 zone and more. Proceeds benefit The Warrior\u2019s Keep, a nonprofit that offers outdoor adventure therapy for veterans in Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Wayback Burgers in Allen, Fort Worth, Frisco and Irving<\/p>\n

In addition, the fast-food burger spot will give veterans and active-duty military members a free taquito on Tuesdays between Nov. 11 and Dec. 30. That\u2019s eight days for free breakfast in 2025.<\/p>\n
