She joked that while she might not be an attorney yet, she plays \u201ca very well-dressed one on TV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-806b03\" class=\"body-graf\">\u201cSix years into this law journey, and I\u2019m still all in until I pass the bar,\u201d Kardashian wrote. \u201cNo shortcuts, no giving up \u2014 just more studying and even more determination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-c3d983\" class=\"body-graf\">Kardashian, 45, has expressed interest in criminal justice reform and her desire to follow in her father\u2019s footsteps. Robert Kardashian Sr. was a high-profile Los Angeles attorney best known for his role in O.J. Simpson\u2019s defense in the 1995 murder trial in which the former NFL player was accused of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-d74f4d\" class=\"body-graf\">Her father died in 2003 after being treated for esophageal cancer.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-809556\" class=\"body-graf\">Over the course of her family\u2019s reality show, Kardashian has shown her efforts to become an attorney. She registered with the California State Bar to study law in a program that allows someone to apprentice with a practicing lawyer or judge as an alternative to the traditional law school route.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1639432245579_now_morris_kimkar_211213_1920x1080-isk7f4.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-696aa8\" class=\"body-graf\">Kardashian never completed college, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BwSBRu5nmST\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">writing in a 2019 Instagram post that she was 15 credits shy of graduating<\/a>. But the alternative program required a minimum of 18 hours a week of work over four years, she wrote, adding that she\u2019d be taking monthly exams. <\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-ff8572\" class=\"body-graf\">She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/pop-culture\/kim-kardashian-says-passed-baby-bar-exam-california-rcna8554\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">then took the \u201cbaby bar,\u201d<\/a> also known as the First-Year Law Students\u2019 Examination. Kardashian made three attempts at the exam \u2014including one where she had Covid and a \u201c104 fever\u201d \u2014 before she passed in 2021.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-3ac229\" class=\"body-graf\">Even without a law degree, Kardashian has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/kim-kardashian-west-visits-white-house-discuss-clemency-process-n906801\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">leveraged her fame to advocate for people<\/a> whom she believes have been unjustly prosecuted or disproportionately sentenced in their criminal cases.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-c791e6\" class=\"body-graf\">In the most well-known instance, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/alice-marie-johnson-my-release-prison-was-miracle-n880831\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">worked for the release of Alice Marie Johnson, who was serving a life sentence<\/a> on a drug conviction. Johnson, a grandmother, was a nonviolent offender who spent 21 years in federal prison after being convicted in connection with a drug trafficking conspiracy.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-4c5f8c\" class=\"body-graf\">Kardashian pressed Johnson\u2019s case to the public and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/trump-commutes-sentence-grandmother-serving-life-drug-charges-after-kim-n880291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> directly to President Donald Trump<\/a>, who commuted Johnson\u2019s sentence in 2018, leading to her release.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-83b8e1\" class=\"body-graf\">She also released a 2020 docuseries called \u201cKim Kardashian West: The Justice Project,\u201d which featured specific cases to highlight issues around mass incarceration.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1728093944315_now_staytuned_kim_kardashian_menendez_brothers_241003_1920x1080-e20sdj.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-f72cef\" class=\"body-graf\">Recently, Kardashian has advocated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/menendez-brothers-timeline-trials-murders-free-prison-effort-rcna179362?utm_source=NBC&amp;utm_medium=iframely\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">for the release of Lyle and Erik Menendez<\/a>, two brothers who have been serving life sentences since they were found guilty of murdering their parents in 1996. Their case required two trials, as the first attempt to convict them of the 1989 double homicide ended in a mistrial.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-e23742\" class=\"body-graf\">Kardashian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/kim-kardashian-free-menendez-brothers-rcna173638\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">wrote in an essay last year<\/a> that the case was \u201cmore complex than it appears on the surface\u201d and pointed to the brothers\u2019 allegations that they suffered years of sexual, emotional and physical abuse growing up.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-e11bde\" class=\"body-graf\">\u201cI also strongly believe that they were denied a fair second trial and that the exclusion of crucial abuse evidence denied Erik and Lyle the opportunity to fully present their case, further undermining the fairness of their conviction,\u201d Kardashian wrote.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-aa7651\" class=\"body-graf\">The brothers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/lyle-menendez-brothers-parole-murder-rcna226477\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">were recently denied parole<\/a> but are actively pursuing new trials to overturn their convictions, as well as asking California Gov. Gavin Newsom for clemency.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-768633\" class=\"body-graf\">Kardashian has kept up with the law program over six years while balancing her advocacy work and her own career, which has included launching her brand SKIMS and dipping her toe in Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-1c20f3\" class=\"body-graf\">The 45-year-old is starring in Ryan Murphy\u2019s new show \u201cAll\u2019s Fair,\u201d which centers on an all-female law firm.
