Freirich<\/a>, R.D. \u201cHowever fiber is instrumental in feeding our good gut bacteria, improving regularity of bowel movements, helping us stay full and satisfied after meals, and reducing our risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"6\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">According to USDA FoodData Central, <a href=\"https:\/\/fdc.nal.usda.gov\/food-details\/170563\/nutrients\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/fdc.nal.usda.gov\/food-details\/170563\/nutrients\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"sunflower seed kernels\" data-node-id=\"6.1\" class=\"body-link css-inlxvj emevuu60\" rel=\"noopener\">sunflower seed kernels<\/a> provide about 11.1 grams of fiber per 100 grams. If your needs skew heavily towards fiber, protein, or magnesium, you may want to prioritize consumption based on which one came out on top for that particular nutrient.
