Storm damage repair work on\u00a0a section of State Route 288 will see a 120-mile detour take effect Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n
The detour will add approximately 2.5 hours for those traveling between SR 188 and Young,\u00a0ADOT said<\/a>.<\/p>\n The closures for the section about 12 miles north of the intersection with SR 188, between mileposts 271-276 and just north of Roosevelt Lakes, are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n PE teacher arrested for assaulting student at Mesa charter school<\/a><\/p>\n A teacher with the American Leadership Academy in Mesa was arrested for aggravated assault of a student on Thursday.<\/p>\n Police were sent to the school on the intersection of\u00a0Sossaman and Pecos roads<\/a>\u00a0at around 3 p.m. to investigate a tip that a teacher had physically assaulted a student.<\/p>\n The teacher, 52-year-old Nathan Hansen, was identified by police upon arrival.<\/p>\n The initial investigation revealed the physical education teacher attempted to take a cell phone away from a 14-year-old male student during\u00a0class<\/a>\u00a0before pushing him to the ground and dragging him by his hoodie.<\/p>\n SNAP benefits to resume on regular schedule, Arizona Department of Economic Security says<\/a><\/p>\n Arizonans who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) could see their long-awaited aid as early as Friday, according to the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES).<\/p>\n \u201cSNAP clients could see benefits issued to their EBT cards as early as Nov. 7,\u201d a DES spokesperson told\u00a0KTAR News 92.3 FM\u00a0on Friday. \u201cOn Nov. 8, DES will resume its regular issuance schedule.\u201d<\/p>\n Gov.
