TNS<\/p>\n<p>Some of Mamdani\u2019s plans could include a hike on property taxes for some wealthier, mostly white neighborhoods. Aristide Economopoulos<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDear New York Business Leaders, New York\u2019s message to the financial sector couldn\u2019t be clearer after Mamdani\u2019s election: success is something to regulate, not celebrate,\u201d Singer said in an appeal sent to Gotham CEOs and provided to The Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Boca Raton, we take a different view. Here, we believe that thriving businesses lift communities \u2014 not burden them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He cited 30% lower operating costs than <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/08\/us-news\/mamdani-backing-hochul-i-dont-support-the-democratic-socialists-of-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Class A office in Manhattan<\/a> and no state or local personal income taxes compared to upwards of 17% combined state-local rate potentially coming to New York City. He boasted that Boca has the lowest property tax rate of any major city in Florida, and a \u201cstrong and expanding talent pipeline in finance and professional services\u201d with three local universities.<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani plans to hike taxes includes potentially <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/27\/us-news\/socialist-nyc-mayoral-contender-zohran-mamdani-wants-to-hike-property-taxes-for-richer-and-whiter-neighborhoods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">property increasing taxes on <\/a>some wealthier, mostly white neighborhoods to fund his $9 billion in initiatives for free child care and buses and affordable housing expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Home buying has also spiked in Florida, as local residents anticipate that New Yorkers will flood the market. We have 40 publicly traded corporate HQs in a diverse group of industries, and a growing number of regional, satellite, and hybrid offices. Boca Raton offers what New York no longer can,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In the letter, Singer also said there are three international airports within an hour and a general aviation airport just minutes from the business district.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe future of finance is moving south \u2014 along with other industries \u2014 and Boca Raton is eager to welcome you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani claims that lowering child care and transportation costs and expanding affordable housing will keep families in the city. Aristide Economopoulos<\/p>\n<p>Boca has 50 publicly traded or private companies that have headquarters or major offices locally including: ADT, Regenerative Medical Technology Group, Office Depot, Aerospace Technologies Group, Canon and Tyco Integrated Security.<\/p>\n<p>Singer and other Florida leaders have been pitching the Sunshine State after Mamdani won the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/29\/us-news\/boca-raton-mayor-woos-nyc-capitalists-after-socialist-mamdanis-victory-better-quality-of-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democratic primary <\/a>in June, and have ratcheted up the relocation recruitment pitches after Mamdani\u2019s general election victory last week.<\/p>\n<p>Singer speaking at a rally for Republican gubernatorial nominee Ron DeSantis. Tribune News Service via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Home buying has also spiked in Florida, as local residents move to close on sales in anticipation that New Yorkers will <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/06\/real-estate\/florida-locals-rush-to-buy-homes-over-fears-of-a-nyc-wave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flood the market<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople are concerned and looking for better business opportunities,\u201d Singer told The Post of his outreach to relocate to his well-heeled city of 103,000 residents.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>He said he fielded calls from retail business owners as well as executives from the financial services sector.<\/p>\n<p>The letter also promoted the city\u2019s 5 miles of public beaches, helping deliver \u201cproductivity in paradise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoca Raton has become the destination for firms that want to grow freely, attract top professionals, and live well while doing it,\u201d Singer told the corporate honchos.<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani, during his successful campaign that focused on New York\u2019s high cost of living, claimed that lowering child care and transportation costs and expanding affordable housing will keep families in the city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Mayor-elect\u2019s affordability agenda will help working New Yorkers and help businesses alike \u2014 delivering universal childcare and allowing companies to attract and retain top talent from around the world,\u201d spokesperson Dora Pekec said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Fly south, Zo birds!
