{"id":368094,"date":"2025-11-10T01:18:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T01:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/368094\/"},"modified":"2025-11-10T01:18:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T01:18:13","slug":"china-inflation-data-ai-valuations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/368094\/","title":{"rendered":"China inflation data, AI valuations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Citizens are shopping at a supermarket in Nanjing, East China&#8217;s Jiangsu province, on March 9, 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Costfoto | Nurphoto | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Asia-Pacific markets opened higher Monday, after artificial intelligence valuation concerns fueled declines in markets across the region last week.<\/p>\n<p>Investors in Asia are also parsing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/09\/china-october-cpi-ppi-deflation-consumer-prices-.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">October inflation data from China<\/a> over the weekend, which came in above expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Headline consumer inflation was at 0.2% year on year, compared to expectations of zero growth from economists polled by Reuters. Wholesale inflation saw a softer-than-expected drop of 2.1% year on year, against the expected 2.2% decline.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.N225\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nikkei 225<\/a> advanced 0.48%, while the broad-based Topix was up 0.37%. Yields of 10-year Japanese government bonds inched up to 1.69%, their highest since October.<\/p>\n<p>South Korea&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.KS11\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kospi<\/a> climbed 1.69%, led by banks and insurance stocks, while the small-cap Kosdaq was flat.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.AXJO\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S&amp;P\/ASX 200<\/a> started the day up 0.25%.<\/p>\n<p>However, Hong Kong markets look set to fall, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hang Seng index<\/a> futures at 26,121, lower than the HSI&#8217;s last close of 26,241.83.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday stateside in the U.S., the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.IXIC\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nasdaq Composite<\/a>\u00a0continued to fall, but the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.DJI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dow Jones Industrial Average<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.SPX\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S&amp;P 500<\/a>\u00a0inched into positive territory after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/07\/government-shutdown-democrats-schumer-trump-aca.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">offered up a new plan<\/a>\u00a0to Republicans that would enable the record-breaking U.S. government shutdown to end.<\/p>\n<p>A survey from the University of Michigan revealed Friday that consumer sentiment in the country has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/07\/consumer-sentiment-shutdown.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">neared its lowest level ever<\/a>.
