Meg has remained out of the spotlight since the \u201cSeven Nation Army\u201d rockers called it quits in 2011, and was known for being private when the band was active<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Though fans hoped to see Meg White<\/a> after years out of the limelight, the drummer did not join Jack White<\/a> as The White Stripes were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n The \u201cSeven Nation Army\u201d rockers, who officially split in 2011, received the honor at the 2025 induction ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 8, with an introduction from Iggy Pop<\/a> and tributes from Olivia Rodrigo<\/a>, Feist<\/a> and Twenty One Pilots<\/a>. Jack, 50, took the stage at Los Angeles\u2019 Peacock Theater on behalf of the legendary rock duo, while his former bandmate and ex-wife Meg, also 50, was absent.<\/p>\n Even before Jack began his speech, however, Pop, 78, was sure to give the private musician \u2014 who became the third female drummer to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, per Rolling Stone<\/a> \u2014 a shout-out for her contributions to the group.<\/p>\n While introducing The White Stripes, the \u201cCandy\u201d musician recalled crossing paths with Meg, whom he described as a \u201ctimeless beauty,\u201d per Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jeff Kravitz\/FilmMagic<\/p>\n Jack White of The White Stripes at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony<\/p>\n \u201cMeg White, who gave her name to the group, was a charismatic, naturally likable person. I met her once, and she had the most genuine and charming smile,\u201d Pop told the crowd. \u201cShe gave the drum kit a good whack like Fred Below did for Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry. I think it was Meg\u2019s support that helped launch the rocket of racket that was Jack White.\u201d<\/p>\n After, when Jack took the stage, the musician \u2014 who told Rolling Stone<\/a> back in 2014 that he is barely in touch with his \u201chermit\u201d former bandmate \u2014 revealed that he had spoken with her recently, and that she had a message for fans.<\/p>\n \u201cI spoke with Meg White the other day, and she said that she\u2019s very sorry she couldn\u2019t make it here tonight, but she wanted me to tell you that she\u2019s very grateful. We used to walk around and animals, for some reason, would stare at us. They would stop and stare at us for some reason.
